What People Are Saying About Dan’s
Parish Missions

An Act of Love, Constantly Repeated~ A Sample of Participant’s Comments ~

▪ If you want your parishioners to be challenged and enlivened in their faith. If you want your parishioners to be strengthened in their love of God, and their Church, then……accept Dan Miller into your parish. . . . Dan Miller has a sense of humor, a wealth of stories to tell, which the people identify with. The evaluations that followed his week’s presentation more than proved he was worth their time. I write this some months after his presentations to us, and I can honestly say that the people still speak of him. Dan Miller is a gift and you will be giving your people a unique and lasting gift.
~ Rev. Charles Hofschulte CJ — Pastor, St. Louis de Montfort Church, Santa Maria, CA.

▪ Dan Miller is a wonderful presenter! He is very well-read and extremely knowledgeable, but down-to-earth and accessible, too — and full of good stories. If your parish is hungry for deeper adult spirituality, Dan’s just the one to feed them. All who heard him want him to come back very soon!
~ Sharon Hueckel, Director of Pastoral Ministries, Holy Name of Mary Parish, San Dimas, CA

▪ Last week we were privileged to attend an Advent Parish Mission. Dan Miller, a gifted speaker and spiritual director, was our guide on this most extraordinary journey. Dan led us into a deeper and more spiritual understanding of who we are as beloved human beings of God. We walked away with a sense of Wonder and Awe, not just of what we experienced, which enriched us so much, but of the ability Dan had of sharing God’s love and the beauty of all His creations. We are further along on our spiritual journey because of the grace given us through Dan Miller.
~ Jamie & Jim Walters, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Pomona, CA

▪ In reflecting on the overall reception of Dan’s presentation by our parishioners and staff, the resounding response echoed over and over was, “How soon can we bring him back?” This sentiment was expressed continuously during the enrichment days and even up to two months after the event. Dan was able to connect to people at a very intense and deeply spiritual level. The attendees recognized through his storytelling, his relating of his own life situations, and his love of poetry that they too could experience the mystery that is God just by living in their average, broken and ordinary lives.
~ Sr. Janice Smith and the staff of San Francisco Selano Catholic Church, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA

▪ Dan delivered Good News in a world filled with bad news. Like Mary, he proclaimed the greatness of a loving God. His humanity is sharing his life stories, connecting with the people in the pew, affirming and challenging them. There is a depth in Dan’s sharing that comes both from suffering and living life fully. In this day and age he is one who ‘pays attention’ to the life he lives giving it meaning. He invites us to do the same.
~ Fr. Rich Danyluk, SS.CC., Pastor, Holy Name of Mary, San Dimas CA
