Life-Line

Weaving 2
Today’s Life-Line is:

This is what I have learned: that what the wise ones discover, what some, though not all, of those who have been tenderized by life understand, what those who have awakened from the long night into the light of day come to see, and what the friends of God know by experience is not to wait for tragedy or trauma to wake them up to the incomprehensible surprise of being.

Instead, they consciously and intentionally sew into the fabric of each day simple practices and prompts that wake them up or keep them awake to the sheer gift of it all – of life and living, small gestures and actions that remind them of who and whose they are, little mementos, images, or words that return them to themselves and to what matters most, and to the privilege to respond.
