Impossible Blossom

I was walking through the nearby park a few days before Easter and snapped this picture. I think the photo is an apt icon for Easter. I like that the blossoms catch the eye first and are pronounced but also how on closer inspection it appears the flowering is springing forth from the cross.

There are days we live
as if death were nowhere
in the background; from joy
to joy to joy, from wing to wing,
from blossom to blossom to
impossible blossom, to sweet impossible blossom.
