Brother Weeps Reminds Us

Brother Weeps often reminded us: “The wise ones know not to wait for tragedy or trauma to wake them up to the incomprehensible surprise of being.”

“Stitch into the fabric of your day some way to remember yourself to the certainty and imminence of your death,” he used to say, “so that it can serve wholehearted living, awaken you to the present moment, and be an impetus to wonder and awe, gratefulness and joy, mercy and love.”
