The Measure of Our Misery ~ A Life-Line

Today’s Life-Line is:

The measure of our misery is that we
no longer expect to see miracles.
~ Robert Romanyshyn,

(author and scholar in depth psychology)

It is worth noting that Romanyshyn is not talking about supernatural miracles. He’s talking about the fact that so many of us in these post-modern times live under the tyranny of an exclusively rational, deductive, scientific worldview. As a result, many ignore, miss, or fail to look for the plethora of wonders that are happening all around us if we but have the eyes to see the enchanted, poetic realism of the world. Among the many things we are here on this earth to do, one of the most important and enlivening is to witness the wonder of the world.
