Brother Weeps on What His Heart Teaches

Brother Weeps often passed on words to this effect:
Today, most people want the instantaneous.
My heart whispers ‘give yourself to the instant.’

So many these days are chasing after the momentous.
My heart teaches ‘learn to be still enough
to be found in the moment.’

Ever since Elijah poked his head outside the cave
and felt the passing whoosh of the wind against
his boney ruddy face and heard the still small voice

and then was mooned by God, he realized
the best way to hear the still small voice
is to take time each day to be still and to go small.
