Sister Mahala told this little story:

Once, while on pilgrimage, at the end of a long hot day, a wind-worn sun-tired woman knocked on a stranger’s door.

A man answered and said, “Well, hello. Who are you?”

The woman spoke softly and deliberately: “I am you, if you were standing where I am standing now, and if I were standing where you are standing now, and I opened the door and said, “Oh, welcome, beloved of God.”

And the man invited her in.

A MUSICAL MEDITATION:

⊕ IN MEMORIAM: Let us take a moment and remember ourselves to those children, youth, young adults, adults, and elderly victims of the Covid virus who were not merely one more number of the more than one million dead but were someone’s precious child or grandchild or sister or brother or mother or father or grandparent or friend. May they be welcomed by their truest name.

⊕ ⊕ Tell someone about THE ALMOND TREE where they will find a nut to chew on or a blossom for their cup of water and maybe food for thought and action. Thank you.
